PlasticDB is developed and maintained by researchers dedicated to understanding and combating plastic pollution through bioinformatics.

For questions about the database, data submissions, collaborations, or to report errors, please email us. We aim to respond within a few business days.

Frequently Asked

Are PlasticDB proteins experimentally verified? Yes — every protein in PlasticDB is sourced from a published experimental study with a DOI (journal article or preprint). No computationally predicted proteins are included. This is a core design principle of the database.
