PlasticDB Dataset Published

We are excited to announce the publication of the PlasticDB dataset. The initial release contains data on 436 species and 110 enzymes associated with the biodegradation of plastics.

PlasticDB was developed to organise information about microorganisms and proteins involved in plastic biodegradation, making it easier for researchers to access and utilise this growing body of knowledge.

The publication in the journal Database (2022, baac008) describes the database structure, data sources, and web interface that allow users to search, browse, and download plastic biodegradation data.
