PlasticDB offers bioinformatics tools that allow you to annotate your own sequences against the PlasticDB enzyme database. Here is how:

  1. Annotate a Gene — Upload a single FASTA file containing one or more protein sequences to identify plastic-degrading enzymes.
  2. Annotate a Genome — Upload a whole genome FASTA file to find all potential plastic-degrading genes in your organism.
  3. Annotate a Taxa Table — Upload a TSV table of species to check which are known plastic degraders.
  4. Compare Genomes — Upload multiple FASTA files to compare plastic-degrading potential across organisms.
  5. Pathway Analysis — Map your sequences onto the PET degradation pathway of Pseudideonella sakaiensis.
